So how do you make money online? How is this even possible? Take vacations all the time and just relax all day and count the dollar signs appearing in your bank account…Ok, it’s not so easy, but to be honest it’s probably one of the easiest things I’ve ever done, and I can show you exactly how to do it.

Welcome to world of affiliate marketing…

The concept is simple, and many charge money for the same information I’m about to show you;

This is what it boils down to: build a site, get visitors to your site, place ads on said site to earn commissions from visitors. Find out what works, then do it again and again and again. Multiply your efforts basically. But can you really make any money doing this? Well, here’s an earning screenshot from just ONE of my blogs earnings for a week in November;

Currently I have over xx blogs making me great money everyday. I’m not trying to impress you at all, just showing you it is very possible to make a good living working online. Now that’s much easier said than done, but if you follow some good advice, you’ll be cashing in those checks in no time. Let’s cover the basic individual steps;

  • Make a website

This isn’t as hard as you might think. How do you think this blog looks? Not bad eh? Well we just installed wordpress on our domain and picked up a cool free theme from Skinpress.com. Wordpress is the most popular blogging platform used today. It’s incredibly easy to learn to use. Most hosting providers also provide on click install of wordpress from the control panel. This makes things even easier. If you need hosting, I recommend you use HostGator, most people use them, including myself, and are very pleased with their service. So step one, get hosting, install wordpress, find a cool free wordpress theme. Whoa! Now you have a really cool website up without having to know how to write anything in html. Awesome! But there’s more you have to do to that wordpress blog.

  • Get the right plugins for your blog

Wordpress blogs use plugins to manage certain functions. Programmers write these plugins and make them available for free from the wordpress plugins page. But with thousands of plugins available, which ones do you use? Well it really depends on the type of blog you have. For instance, say you want lots of photos on your blog, then you want a photo gallery plugin to add to your blog to manage and display all your photos. So what plugins am I using/ do I use? Well I have a handful of plugins I use on every blog I put up.

They are;

All in One SEO - this optimizes the titles, keywords and descriptions of you posts/pages for search engines

Google XML sitemaps - this generates and maintains a sitemap for your blog, and updates the search engines every time your blog is updated. You also need to submit this sitemap to the Google webmasters site.

Wp DB backup - This creates a backup of your blog at every interval you select, each day, week, or month. This is extremely beneficial to have if something happens to your blog. So avoid not having it and get it!

Sociable - This allows every post or page to be bookmarked by your readers using their favorite bookmarking service.

Wordpress Stats - This lets you view updated stats for your blog without putting additional load on your server. And you won’t have to keep logging into your hosting cpanel

Of course there are more you can use, and your plugins will vary depending on your blog. But these are the ones you need right from the start.

  • Get traffic to your site

There are two ways to get traffic to your site. Natural, organic search engine traffic, or paid PPC advertising, like with Google Adwords. Both have their pros and cons. With natural traffic, your not paying for each visitor to your page, but until you build up some backlinks and start getting traffic, you be in no money land. PPC is the exact opposite, you can test your site instantly by paying for each time they click a link to get to your site. But this also depends on your blog, if you have a general, all topics blog like this one, you probably wouldn’t want to use PPC. Its not specific enough. But if you have a niche blog, say on purple beach towels, you would want to use PPC for the keyword “purple beach towels” until you get enough organic traffic to suffice. PPC may sound great, instant traffic, only pay for visitors to your site… But slow down turbo, Adwords and PPC is not easy to master or even profit from. You can and will lose money doing PPC. But its not all doom and gloom, if you can hit on a profitable campaign, without much competition, your golden. But best pickup some type of PPC guide or video course. I personally used Commission Blueprint to learn all I know about PPC. It’s a great video course that will teach you everything you need to know and the some.

If this PPC money spending type stuff scares you silly, then you need to stick to organic, free traffic. Obviously if you can master this, your profits will soar because your not paying for traffic, so your at 100% profits(- hosting costs). Now the best way to do this, and what this is called, is “bum marketing”. This means exaclty what it sounds like. So cheap a bum could do it. And I got my start doing this. I didn’t have enough money to use PPC, so I starting doing bum marketing until I made enough to do PPC, and now I do both, although lately I’m leaning completely away from PPC and focusing on SEO and organic traffic. In a nutshell, bum marketing is basically writing, or outsourcing the writing, of as many articles as possible. You’ll submit these articles to the top article directories, giving you backlinks, and juice with the search engine. You see publishers pick up these articles and publish them on their sites as well, with a link back your site. So one article could produce hundreds of backlinks.

I used one manual primarily to learn how to really make money writing articles, and it’s Article Insider Profits. You even get swipe files with headlines and opening statements that are proven to convert visitors to buyers. It’s really good stuff if you want to do article marketing.

The second part of bum marketing is backlink building. This consists on going over to Squidoo and Hubpages and making as many one page lenses and hubs as possible. Each one with links back to your blog. Secondly, social bookmarking your blog and every post you make to the usual like Digg, Technorati, Google bookmarks, etc.. All the popular social bookmarking sites. Or you could use Onlywire and submit to all of them at once. This is very handy. Also, ping your blog using Ping-O-Matic. This pings search engines and directories and lets them know your blog has been updated. However, if your using the Google XML sitemaps plugin I mentioned, you won’t need to do this because that plugin pings the search engines with each sitemap update.

  • What to promote

So now that you have your site up and running, with visitors stopping by daily, what do you promote? Well you need to keep it as closely related to your blog’s topic or niche as possible. This isn’t hard to do, as long as you are part of a good affiliate network with lots of good advertisers. So where are they? Here’s all the affiliate programs I use to make money online;

That’s it! Sign up for each of these and you will always have more than enough advertisers and products to choose from. These four are some of the top affiliate networks available today, so best to stick with these four. I have never needed more than these.

Really, that’s all you have to do.. It’s really that simple;

  1. Build a site using wordpress, install plugins
  2. write posts
  3. Get more traffic to your blog
  4. write posts
  5. select advertisers to promote
  6. write posts
  7. rinse, repeat steps 2-6

Not feeling satisfied? Sorry, there’s not much more to it. I can recommend a few things though;

First, you can sign up for my list on my page here, and get regular updates about what I’m currently doing to make money. My subscribers also receive a free copy of Kinetic Marketing System, which normally sells for $29.95. It covers some great stuff and a range of topics, and is a steal at $29. But I know the creator and he has agreed to let me give this away for free, but only to my active subscribers. So join my list before he changes his mind and I have to remove the bonus! We can regularly keep in contact to ensure your on the path to success.

Secondly, if all this web, SEO, PPC, Wordpress mumbo jumbo isn’t really your thing, you can opt for a more complete all in one package. The guys over at Commission Blueprint are releasing a complete step by step package for building and maintaining profitable websites. Hell, they sold one site on bird cages for $173,000. In fact, some of their own successes in this area have been featured in both the New York Times and on Fox News and as you will see, they have some incredible proof of income from a number of sites making huge amount of cash in obscure markets such as ‘Sewing Machines’ and ‘Train Horns’. They really know their stuff, so listening to them will certainly prove to be profitable. Anyways, their newest creation touting these accomplishments and more is Niche Blueprint. If you can read and are able follow step by step instructions then you’ll be able to follow this incredible course and build your own $1million E-commerce empire! Niche Blueprint is really cool and I’ve used these guys’ advice before to make plenty of money, so there’s no reason you shouldn’t as well.

That’s all for now…..get busy and make some money!
